      Making its inaugural landing on June 20, 2015 at Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport, EVA Air and Sanrio announced the new 2nd generation Hello Kitty Jet "Shining Star" to join the other six Hello Kitty featured planes.












      Shining Star is available to book for nonstop flights for the Houston - Taipei route. The Boeing 777-300ER is adorably and colorfully painted with beloved Sanrio characters, such as Little Twin Stars Kiki and Lala, My Melody, and of course the furever iconic Hello Kitty.

      Not a long flight enthusiast? No worries, Hello Kitty makes the purr-fect traveling companion. The Shining Star Jet provides a unique kawaii experience from the moment you step onboard. The warm smiles from the sweet stewardesses in their green uniforms accessorized with a shining gold Hello Kitty wings pin instantly welcome you.  Everywhere onboard, Hello Kitty decor was not spare.

   


     The moment you find your seat, kitty fans can enjoy the in-seat audio video on demand (AVOD) entertainment system, which instantly plays a delightfully welcoming video from EVA Air headlining Hello Kitty and all her friends.

Hello Kitty House Bangkok

Meow Kitties!

     My whirlwind 1-week Hello Kitty summer adventure was everything my kitty dreams could have imagined and so much more! It has been one week post vacation and the jet lag hangover is definitely a drag, but the kitti-ful memories still have me grinning like a Cheshire Cat.

     The Hello Kitty House in Bangkok, Thailand is truly a mini kitty heaven! When I first heard the news that a Hello Kitty cafe was opening in August 2014, my travel plans were already set in motion. My half Thai heritage was pouncing with excitement and pride and I was ready to go back to my mother's homeland! In June 2015, EVA airlines announced their collaboration with Sanrio in providing customers the experience of flying the skies and traveling in Hello Kitty style. This was the purr-fect opportunity. Tickets booked and luggages packed! It was take-off time for my kitty adventure!

     I stayed at the luxurious Hotel Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square, which is surrounded by the best shopping centers and eateries of Bangkok, and is simply one block from the beloved Hello Kitty House. Even if your main destination was not to venture the Hello Kitty House, it is a must lodging for travelers who crave the entertainment and excitement of Bangkok life.

     Caturday was dedicated to exploring the Hello Kitty House from top to bottom! It is four stories of kitty fun! The moment you step inside, the adorable ambience envelops your kitty senses. On the right, there is an outdoor bar area is where the shaved ice with mango treats are made including various Hello Kitty themed ice cream bars. To your left, displays of delectable Hello Kitty cakes and cupcakes tempt you to take a scrumptious bite. But what really captures your attention is the overwhelmingly charming dining area with plush pink chairs and an ovoid wooden table all decked out with a Hello Kitty scheme.



     When you can pull yourself away from all the kawaii kitty decor, climb the white staircase to the Hello Kitty shop boutique. Although modest in size, the unique merchandise limited to this location is more than enough reason to splurge on everything you know will force fit in your luggage to take back home. Despite the small-scale franchise store, half of a Hello Kitty pink car easily parks right in front of the cash register! You can even take a drive by photo op! Be sure to brake for kitties!


     When you are done with the shopping spree and you know you reached your weight limit on your luggage, put your newly purchased Hello Kitty treasures away for safe keeping and enter the deluxe Hello Kitty spa located on the same floor with the boutique.

     I highly recommend choosing the gel polish with Hello Kitty nail art for the most adorable manicure. I admit it was difficult to peruse the bounteous options and choose one design, but I most definitely fell in love with my pastel colored backdrop with Hello Kitty and various Sanrio characters dancing across my nails. The foot spa with nail polish added service was definitely a worthwhile refreshing treatment for my tired traveling paws. You can also choose from a menu of services including facial and body massages, facial and body waxing, eyelash extension, and eyebrow and lip tattooing, Be sure to bring a kitty friend to enjoy the experience too!

     After your much deserved spa treatment, it's dessert time! After much window perusing, I selected the "Candy Cream Cheese" cake, "Rainbow Crepe" cake, "Twinkle Rainbow" cake, and the large Hello Kitty Thai Golden Mango! Be sure to wash down all the kitty sweetness with a refreshing drink in the Hello Kitty collectible tumbler! Hint: try the Hello Kitty Pink Milk Tea!

      Kitty travelers will want to be sure to set aside half a day to extensively experience the Hello Kitty House to its fullest. My kitty adventure lasted about a mere 4.5 hours. Empty your photo gallery because kitty travelers will want to snapshot every moment of this unforgettable adventure.

      Despite the 24 hour travel time, monsoon seasonal rain, unbearable fierce heat, and shoulder to shoulder walkways, I would do it all over again quicker than a cat's reflex. It was a grand kitty adventure!

Happy 1 Year Blog-versary!

Hello Kitties!


It has officially been one year since I started Hello Kitty Me!!! My love for Hello Kitty only keeps growing and there's always so much kitty I want to share with the world! A lifelong career dedicated to this iconic, adorable character would be pure kitty-ful happiness!









In this kitty blog entry, I wanted to look back on my fav 2015 collectibles! Rummaging through all my Hello Kitty stockpile and stash definitely took awhile! There is just never enough storage or shelf space for one's Hello Kitty collection!

My absolute cherished collectible has to be the KITTYPATRA figurine designed by my most fav and admired Tokidoki creator/designer Simone Legno! On that sweet Hello Kitty Con day, when my eyes captured the first glimpse of the Kittypatra statue at the Hello Kitty exhibition, I stood in total kitty awe! All my senses were drowned in this amazingly stunning statue! I immediately desired a token that I could bring home and be reminded of that cherished moment! Anywhere I could, I left my trail of comments begging for a figurine to be made on all Tokidoki social media! Lo and behold my kitty wish came true in color & gold!



My second treasured collectible is my instax mini Hello Kitty instant camera. It was recently gifted to me on Christmas Day by my special someone. I am absolutely in kitty love with this one-of-kind camera! The camera itself is shaped as Hello Kitty's head and comes in a beautiful light pink rose and white color combo. The camera kit included Hello Kitty designed 10-pack film, fun Hello Kitty stickers to decorate, and a pink plaid shoulder strap for easy carry. You can immediately start snapping away the moment you open the box! The mirror on the lens allows you to take all the selfies you need and want! We all know how essential this feature is!

Kitty side note: Lunar New Year was recently celebrated on Monday, February 8, 2016! I hope this new year will bring even bigger things for Hello Kitty Me! I wish you kitties luck, good health, and endless happiness!

I clearly remember the day I decided to start this Hello Kitty blog! I grabbed my laptop and started firing away. My kitty craze and ideas just wanted to pounce out all at once! I am truly grateful for those who have faithfully followed me from Day 1. I love how Hello Kitty connects people and brings us all together to make the world a little happier! I hope all you kitties continue to follow me on this personal journey in sharing my kitty love!
