The March of Hello Kitty!

Hello March! 
Happy First Day of Spring!

      With the month of March, comes the new beginnings of spring! The spring equinox just came into bloom on March 20th and spring fever is contagious! This new season of life brings hope, happiness, and fresh energy! Hello Kitty is no exception and is springing into action in this upcoming season!

      Happy exciting news was announced during the Sanrio Expo 2017 in February! A new squad of characters named "Marumofubiyori" will be arriving with a kawaii bear named "Moppu" as its headliner! "Moppu's" background story involves living with his older sister at an aquarium and always fashionably attached to his fuzzy blanket. Imagine the hooded blanket wraps adorned by small children, but instead of little human beings, there is a pearly white bear plushie. Moe moe, Kyun!

      Some friends of "Moppu" include a krab known as "Kanikama" and a fish friend called "Gyoniku." Fun fact: kanikama is the imitation crab meat often used in sushi cuisine and gyoniku is a Japanese term that translates into "fishmeat."

      Trips to the grocery store can be a routine chore drag for most of us, but not for Hello Kitty fans who reside in Hong Kong! The pop-up Hello Kitty themed grocery store is available in the Sai Wan Yata Supermarket from February 12th - May 31st. No need to make a grocery list because Hello Kitty addicts will want it all. Shopping carts will be full to the max simply after a trip down the first aisle! Shoppers can find all typical grocery items but served up in sweet Hello Kitty style! Supermarket shopping can now be a super kawaii experience!

Many of us can recall in our childhood, chanting the Sailor Moon anthem as we imagine ourselves transforming into a sailor scout with the moon prism power to fight evil alongside the pretty guardian!
